What separates genius from the ordinary? Amadeus explores this through the contrast between Mozart and Salieri, vividly portraying jealousy.

Devout and diligent, Salieri recognizes in Mozart a talent he himself lacks, creating a conflict between faith and self-awareness. The idea that such a flawed man is gifted by God deeply wounds him, leading to his downfall.

The film raises a universal question: can talent be overcome by effort, or is it an insurmountable divide?
