The Imitation Game portrays Alan Turing, a brilliant but socially isolated mathematician who develops a machine to decode it, significantly influencing the war. Despite his achievement, his work remained classified, and he was later persecuted for his sexuality.

The film explores the loneliness of genius, the tension between the state and the individual, and the moral complexities of science and war.
