Human beings constantly oscillate between the illusion of controlling the world through their own power and the reality that they cannot live without others. As La Rochefoucauld noted, both the belief that one can live entirely alone and the belief that the world cannot function without oneself are equally mistaken.

Citizen Kane is a cinematic masterpiece depicting the rise and fall of newspaper magnate Kane, exploring power, loneliness, and the trajectory of self-esteem. He builds a vast media empire and expands both political ambition and personal desire, yet his relationships gradually collapse.

Despite reaching the peak of success, Kane ultimately dies in isolation, misunderstood by all. His story sharply reveals the nature of power and the inner emptiness of human existence.
