The film Baahubali: The Beginning (2015)  is a grand historical epic inspired by Indian mythology.


Raised in a village beneath a waterfall, the young Shivudu becomes fascinated by the world above and eventually reaches it, where he joins a warrior’s mission to rescue a captive queen and confront a tyrant. He later discovers his true identity as the rightful heir to the kingdom.


Echoing ancient fables about ideal rulers, the film vividly portrays the enduring image of a “just king” that people long for.
